Budget

Berea Municipal Utilities operates on a fiscal year basis from July 1st through the following June 30th. The Berea City Council adopts a detailed Operating and Capital Budget each year for BMU to ensure financial control. Audited Financial Statements

Each year an independent auditor reviews the financial statements of the City of Berea and expresses an opinion on whether the financial statements are free from material misstatement. Berea Municipal Utilities are reported as a proprietary fund of the City and, therefore, are included in the financial statements of the City. Financial information specific to BMU is identified as “Proprietary Funds” or “Business-Type Activities” in city-wide financial statements which can be accessed from the links below.
